Speech and Drama exams are an excellent tool to setting and achieving personal goals, in measuring progress & in developing new skills. While the results are very important in reflecting the work and commitment a student has invested in the exam process, the examiners remarks are equally important to guiding our students on improving their performances.
Royal Irish Academy of Music
Our students take exams from Kindergarten (age 7 approx) to Grade 8. Every year our students receive Honors and Distinction results through every level of the exams. This year 4 students received Distinction in their Grade 7 Speech & Drama exams. RIAM exams are wide ranging incorporating poetry, mime, story telling, prose, acting, reading aloud & theory.
High Achiever Awards
The RIAM High Achiever Awards were established in 2000 in recognition of outstanding students. Each year approx. 42,000 students are eligible to complete for these awards
Our students have received these awards every year since 2014.

Selected students from grade 6 on wards are eligible for the solo performance exams in Bronze (Grade 6), Silver (Grade 7) & Gold medal (Grade 8)
Our students have consistently been awarded merits and distinction in these exams in every level.
The syllabus allows the student to select their own monologues from Ancient Greek & Roman to Shakespeare & contemporary play, television or Film screenplay .en selected from a play, television or film screenplay published post-1980.en s elected from a play, television or film screenplay published post-1980.
Drama Dynamics In House Exams.
This year we introduced our own in house exam for our youngest students and to students who were new to Drama Dynamics. This is a very gentle introduction to the exam process designed to encourage the students to take the more formal exams at a later stage. The exams were held in the familiar environment of Drama Dynamics Studio.
Exam Fees
Fees for exams are additional to term fees and are generally collected end of Term 1 / start of Term 2.
